The Environmental Performance Accountability Report is the product of collective efforts to uplift and communicate our commitment to Planetary Health from dozens of contributors across Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH).
VCH is celebrating its 11th year of progress and action toward low-carbon, climate resilient and environmentally sustainable care.
The report highlights achievements including:
- Eliminating the use of the anesthetic gases that contribute most to greenhouse gas emissions at Vancouver General Hospital
- Achieving or exceeding 50% of waste being diverted to recycling instead of landfill from six facilities
- 8 stories about staff, medical staff and teams taking action for impact
