Sonja is an eclectic individual, interested first and foremost in people and collective well-being. This is demonstrated by her studies in economics, Spanish, sustainability, education and program evaluation, and her work in ecotourism, community development, environmental consulting and health care, among many other things.

Sonja manages the development and implementation of environmental sustainability policy and practice, strategic communications and engagement plans, and capacity building for sustainable and resilient health care across diverse departments in the health system.
