Cathy McDonald

Regional Thermal Energy Manager

Cathy has a background in mechanical engineering and has worked in a variety of areas, including a coal-fired generating station, a technology start-up and 10 years managing theatre companies. Cathy returned to the energy management field in 2013.

As an energy coordinator, Cathy’s focus is on coordinating the many lighting, heating and ventilation projects underway to improve energy efficiency in Fraser Health hospitals and long-term care facilities. Cathy works closely with the Facilities Maintenance and Operations teams and engineering consultants to introduce and evaluate these upgrades.
