Introducing the 2020 Environmental Performance Accountability Report for Healthcare
Welcome to the ninth annual Environmental Peformance Accountability Report (EPAR) for the Lower Mainland Health Organizations!
These reports represent an opportunity to acknowledge the hard work, leadership, and willingness of everyone across the Lower Mainland Health Organizations to support environmental sustainability in health care.
This report represents the collective work of many individuals, all of whom continue to collaborate to transform their workplaces and health care systems into thriving environments of health and wellness for staff, patients, and their families.
Developed by the Energy and Environmental Sustainability Team (EES) and in close partnership with many departments, the 2020 EPAR is an annual report that tells the story about the Lower Mainland Health Organization's sustainability successes, challenges and future opportunities. It also highlights a real need for action, and our efforts to find solutions together for the entire Lower Mainland health care community.
Over the past year, health-care providers worked under tremendous pressure to transform the health system in response to COVID-19. At the same time, and despite everything that was thrown at them, staff and leadership continued to make decisions that, by supporting the health of our environment, are essential to advancing human health.
The 2020 EPAR is an interactive (clickable) report; you can easily navigate and link between sections and to areas that most interest you. Below are the various Lower Mainland Health Organization EPARs:
Thank you for your ongoing support of our environmental sustainability work. The work continues evolve and change with the many challenges but continues with award winning innovation and dedication to reducing the health care organizations environmental footprint.
