Workplace Leadership (Formerly Culture Change)
Culture of Stewardship within GreenCare and the LM Health Organizations means building staff capacity and leadership to integrate sustainability values into all decision-making and actions at work.
- Support overall awareness of energy and environmental sustainability best practises by maintaining a specific number of posted good news stories (Awareness & Reinforcement)
- Increase the number of staff directly trained in energy and environmental sustainability workplace practices (Knowledge)
- Support innovation and organizational improvement through the funding of staff initiated green sustainability projects (Desire & Ability)
a. Build and maintain capacity to run and expand Green+Leaders program;
b. Maintain and enhance the GreenCare Community website;
c. Investigate capacity building for management and senior executives;
d. Improve employee engagement in alignment with Health Authority Human Resources (HR) targets;
e. Build Lower Mainland Health Organization capacity to integrate special projects inspired by the Green+Leaders program (e.g. paperless paystubs);
f. Maintain the use of social media tactics in direct engagement of staff through the GreenCare Community website.
