In this webinar, the KHSC team will share how they used a quality improvement approach to identify, quantify, and eliminate large-scale nitrous oxide waste from their central pipeline system.

Attendees will learn how the team engaged stakeholders, navigated operational and infrastructure challenges, and ultimately decommissioned the nitrous oxide pipelines at both Kingston General Hospital and Hotel Dieu Hospital in September 2025. The team will also share key lessons learned, practical implementation considerations, and how they transitioned to point-of-care E-cylinder use while maintaining clinical access to nitrous oxide when needed.
